Card
Racks are traditionally used to store employee clock cards nearby to
their time recorder station.
Some
companies with higher numbers of employees set up card racks either
side of the recorder so that staff who are present can be clearly
identified while their cards are located within the IN racks. Staff
who are not present will have their cards retained in the OUT racks.
This
kind of check is very useful to shop floor management both in terms
of assessing who is available at a given time and also as a check in
the case of a premises evacuation.
Robust
metal card racks are available for most sizes of cards enabling the
top 25mm heading of the the cards to remain visible without obscuring
another card or even the tagged slot. Most metal racks are supplied
with 25 slots and can be banked together to form greater storage.
